Softball Recap: Orcas Island Takes a Loss

Orcas Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Blaine Borderites, falling 27-4.

Orcas Island's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Orcas Island will face off against Quilcene at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Orcas Island has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Blaine, they will take on Ferndale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give Ferndale their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
