Palo Verde is 1-9 against Basic since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Palo Verde Panthers will face off against the Basic Wolves at 3:00 p.m. Palo Verde is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Palo Verde took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Clark get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.

Drew Suitor looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Brady Dallimore was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Jace Jefferies was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Palo Verde always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clark only posted an OBP of .273.

Meanwhile, Basic got the win against Bishop Gorman on Friday by a conclusive 7-0.

Palo Verde pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Basic, their record now sits at 1-0.
