Baseball Recap: Highland Now 11-3 over Last 14 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Highland walked away with it. They blew past the Gary West Side Cougars 12-1 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Caden Quigg, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. David Klapkowski was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
