Softball Recap: Siegel Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Siegel was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of the Brentwood Bruins by a score of 3-2. The Stars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Siegel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Fuss, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits Fuss has posted since back in April of 2024.

Siegel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Brentwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coincidentally, Siegel and Brentwood will both be playing Oakland the next time they take the field. Brentwood will head out to face Oakland at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, while Siegel will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
