Basketball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short

Mechanicsburg lost against Grandview Heights back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The contest between the Mechanicsburg Indians and the Grandview Heights Bobcats didn't end well, with the Mechanicsburg Indians falling 64-46. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 9-5 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Mechanicsburg lost, don't look at Joshua Titus. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Ritchie, who posted eight points.

Mechanicsburg now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Grandview Heights, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will face off against Greenon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grandview Heights, they will venture away from home to take on Buckeye Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
