Softball Recap: Childersburg Has No Trouble Against Comer

While Childersburg put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Comer. Childersburg put the hurt on Comer with a sharp 20-0 win. Childersburg not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 14th.

Jade Landers looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madison Brooks was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was DeQiya Marbury, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Childersburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matches.

Childersburg's record is now 12-13. As for Comer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Childersburg will challenge Vincent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
