Volleyball Recap: Wilkes-Barre's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Wilkes-Barre had won five straight games and Jordany Rodriguez did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Wolfpack walked away with a 2-0 win over Tournament Opponent with plenty of help from Rodriguez, who had 12 digs and nine kills. He is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

While Wilkes-Barre might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Tournament Opponent scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21.

Wilkes-Barre was led to victory by Tijan Njai and Reylie Ramirez. Njai had 22 assists and three digs, while Ramirez had eight kills and six digs.

Wilkes-Barre's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilkes-Barre will challenge Greater Nanticoke Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tournament Opponent, they will square off against South Bend Riley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
