Volleyball Recap: Blue Earth Takes a Loss

Blue Earth lost against Waseca back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Buccaneers lost 3-0 to the Bluejays. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Blue Earth was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Hailey Hanson paced Blue Earth's offense, picking up nine kills. Hanson got some help from Taylor Ripley and her 18 assists. Finally, Caitlin Eitzmann kept Blue Earth's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Blue Earth's loss dropped their record down to 2-19-2. As for Waseca, the victory snapped their losing streak at six matches and leaves them with a 3-14 record.

Blue Earth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Martin County West on the 6th. Waseca has also already played their next match (against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
