Baseball Recap: Cypress Bay Beats Union County for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Cypress Bay won against Piper last Thursday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Cypress Bay beat the Union County Fightin' Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Lightning as they're now sitting on six straight.

Max Dierking looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Diego Baron, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Parilli, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Cypress Bay's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Bay will square off against West Broward at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Cypress Bay's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Union County, they will face off against Baker County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
