Basketball Recap: Lotus School for Excellence's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lotus School For Excellence can now relate to. They took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salida Spartans on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Meteors still had to take the loss.

The loss snapped Lotus School For Excellence's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-6 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Salida, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
