It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dexter had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hatch Valley Bears a 53-0 shutout. The Demons' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Dexter found their leader in sophomore Cj Granados, who threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Omar Loya was in the mix too, providing Dexter with two touchdowns.

Dexter didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Diego Munoz.

Dexter's record is now 11-0. As for Hatch Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Dexter will challenge Robertson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dexter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Robertson likes a good challenge. Hatch Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
