Recap: Parkway Northwest Hoyas vs. Science Leadership Academy
The Parkway Northwest Hoyas had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Science Leadership Academy by a score of 45-33. For Parkway Northwest, this counts as revenge for the 53-39 defeat Science Leadership Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Parkway Northwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Dyer, who scored 15 points. The contest was Dyer's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kahleem Jordan, who scored 12 points.
Parkway Northwest's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Science Leadership Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway Northwest will face off against Girard Academic Music Program at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Science Leadership Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
