Baseball Recap: Turkey Valley Has No Trouble Against Postville

While Turkey Valley put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Postville. The Trojans put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 last Wednesday.

Turkey Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-15 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Postville, they are on a 35-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Turkey Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Kee at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Postville will take on rival South Winneshiek at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
