After a string of eight wins, Little Miami's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lakota East Thunderhawks by a score of 6-5. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunderhawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Little Miami got a good showing from Luke Brewsaugh, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Brewsaugh a new career-low in walks (zero).

Little Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Lakota East, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-11.
