Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Skates Past Temple Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Christian Academy). They breezed by the Temple Christian Tigers to the tune of 63-24 on Thursday. With the Knights ahead 36-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Liberty Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Tanner Kuykendall almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds and Bryan Bunnells dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kuykendall has scored all season. Aiden Bagley was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and three steals.

Liberty Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Temple Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Liberty Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 32-31 victory against Sandhills Classical Christian on the 31st. As for Temple Christian, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Temple Christian Tigers face off against the Mintz Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
