While Mishawaka Marian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Oregon-Davis Bobcats 64-45 on Wednesday. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mishawaka Marian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kariya Byer, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Byer is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison O'Hara, who posted 14 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Mishawaka Marian and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Oregon-Davis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mishawaka Marian will face off against South Bend Saint Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oregon-Davis, they will take on Tri-Township at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
