Preview: Greater Latrobe Wildcats vs. Kiski Area Cavaliers
Greater Latrobe has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Kiski Area Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Greater Latrobe's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Greater Latrobe pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley.
Meanwhile, Kiski Area scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Knoch by the margin of a single free throw, 76-75. The victory was familiar territory for Kiski Area who now have three in a row.
Greater Latrobe now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Kiski Area, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Greater Latrobe didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Kiski Area when the teams last played on January 2nd, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greater Latrobe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
