Football Recap: Midtown Piles Up the Points Against Drew

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midtown). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Drew 34-6. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 19-0 win Drew walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Noah Williams threw for 70 yards and one TD. Kentrell White was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards. On the ground, Cam Austin rushed for 77 yards on only ten carries.

Midtown's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Drew, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Midtown will challenge rival Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Drew is set to square off against their familiar foe Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
