Basketball Recap: Jordan Cadman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miyamura over Window Rock

Miyamura was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 57-49 to the Window Rock Fighting Scouts. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Scouts apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Cadman, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Cadman a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Wyaco, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

Window Rock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Young, who made all 6 shots he took to post 18 points. Jaylen Brown was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards.

Miyamura's record now sits at 0-7. As for Window Rock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

Miyamura will be taking part in a tournament against Thoreau at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Window Rock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-51 loss against Valley on the 18th.
