It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Orono ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fort Kent Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. For Orono, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory Fort Kent walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Orono hit Fort Kent with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dominic Madore, Brady Hews, and Will Mitchell.

Orono's win bumped their record up to 7-0-1. As for Fort Kent, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Orono will square off against Maine Central Institute at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Kent will be paying especially close attention to the Riots' contest: after the Riots face off against the Huskies, they'll take on Fort Kent again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
