Basketball Game Preview: Foley Lions vs. Daphne Trojans

Foley has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Daphne has won nine straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Foley Lions will host the Daphne Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Foley was fully in charge, breezing past Robertsdale 64-22. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Daphne didn't have too much trouble with Fairhope on Friday as they won 57-40.

Daphne is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Foley, their victory bumped their record up to 18-2.

Foley came out on top in a nail-biter against Daphne when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 34-32. Will Foley repeat their success, or does Daphne have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
