Baseball Recap: Anahuac's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anahuac). They never let the Warren Warriors get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Not much got past Logan Trotter, who gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Warren off the board. Those 14 strikeouts gave Trotter a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Anahuac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Wilcox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Wilcox also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Luke Hoagland was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Anahuac's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Warren, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Anahuac will face off against Tarkington at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Warren, they will welcome Huntington at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Huntington will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Warren surely won't give up without a fight.
