Crossett proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Hamburg Lions 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Crossett is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hamburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Crossett Eagles take on McGehee Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
