Basketball Recap: DuVal Takes a Loss

DuVal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-41 loss at the hands of the Bowie Bulldogs . The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Leading Bowie to victory were Amira Kittles and Sanaa Blunt. Kittles almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards, while Blunt almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. Blunt's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Penn, who posted 11 points.

DuVal's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bowie, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

DuVal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-34 defeat against Flowers on the 16th. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 79-13 win against High Point on the 16th.
