Volleyball Recap: Elyria Christian Takes a Loss

Elyria Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goessel Bluebirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Goessel this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16.

Joy Pyle paced Elyria Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Pyle got some help from Laney Reiff and her nine assists.

Elyria Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-19. As for Goessel, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Elyria Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Little River on the 11th. As for Goessel, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Canton-Galva on the 11th.
