Basketball Recap: Oak Park Takes a Loss

Oak Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the North Kansas City Hornets, falling 57-33. The Northmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 51-49.

Oak Park's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-4. As for North Kansas City, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Oak Park has already played their next contest (against St. Pius X), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Kansas City, they will take on Park Hill South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Kansas City is on a five-game streak of home wins, Park Hill South a nine-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
