Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Indians vs. Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shawnee can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Shawnee actually scored more points across those five sets (100-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chelsea Burkholder, who had 39 assists and 13 digs. Kylynne Sollberger had a dynamite game For Bloom-Carroll., getting 21 digs. That's the most digs Sollberger has posted since back in August.
Shawnee's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Bloom-Carroll, they pushed their record up to 25-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bloom-Carroll, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Jonathan Alder on the 1st.
