Basketball Recap: Fairhope Pirates vs. Vigor Wolves
The Fairhope Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 56-48 to Vigor. Fairhope was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Vigor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamonica Chambers led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 29 rebounds. Chambers is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jamonica Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten assists.
Fairhope has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season. As for Vigor, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Fairhope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vigor also has no future games currently scheduled.
