Basketball Game Preview: Kings Christian Crusaders vs. Parlier Panthers

Kings Christian and Parlier are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Kings Christian Crusaders will host the Parlier Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Kings Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season.

Kings Christian picked up another tournament win back in December of 2024. They blew past Lindsay 44-21. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

Kings Christian found their leader in freshman Andrew Ortega, who posted 15 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Brouwer, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Kings Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Parlier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to Yosemite on the road by a 59-42 margin.

Parlier's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Kings Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Kings Christian against Parlier in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-25 victory. In that contest, Kings Christian amassed a halftime lead of 32-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
