Baseball Recap: Crystal City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cotulla last Friday, Crystal City came back down to earth. The Javelinas fell just short of the Lytle Pirates by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Javelinas haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Crystal City saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Zavala, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Crystal City's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lytle, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Crystal City has already played their next match, a 14-3 victory against Dilley on the 4th. As for Lytle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Natalia on the 4th.
