Softball Recap: Kearsley Takes a Loss

Kearsley extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-9 in the process. They came up short against the Linden Eagles, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss last Thursday.

As for Linden, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games.

For Linden's part, Addi Siegwald (2027) was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Siegwald (2027) a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Sophia Helm (2025), who went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

While Kearsley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
