Softball Recap: Williamstown Takes a Loss

If Williamstown was riding high fresh off their 10-4 takedown of Magnolia last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets fell 5-2 to the Tyler Knights on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Williamstown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elli Hanlon, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Williamstown now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Tyler, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Williamstown will square off against rival Doddridge County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tyler is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Marys at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
