Baseball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northridge can now relate to. They came up short against the Brighton Bengals on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

Northridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boston Wright, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Brighton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

While Northridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
