Baseball Recap: East Ascension's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

East Ascension can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They never let the Walker Wildcats get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Thursday, they had to take a 9-0 loss.

East Ascension got a great performance from Darrin Magee as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Dille, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Moran, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

East Ascension's victory bumped their record up to 15-19-1. As for Walker, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-9.

Looking ahead, East Ascension will be playing in front of their home fans against University Lab at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cubs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Walker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
