Baseball Recap: Cloverdale Wins Going Away Against White River Valley

While Cloverdale put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for White River Valley. The Clovers blew past the Wolverines 6-0. The win continues a trend for the Clovers in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.

Drake Hoffa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Corey Branigan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Ben Campbell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cloverdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for White River Valley, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
