Basketball Recap: Patoka Takes a Loss

Patoka lost against North Clay/Clay City back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patoka Warriors were beaten by North Clay/Clay City 87-42. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while North Clay/Clay City are ranked 286th).

Patoka's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for North Clay/Clay City, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Coming up, Patoka will face off against Beecher City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Clay/Clay City, they will challenge Grayville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
