Football Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Legacy duked it out with South East on Thursday. The Tigers fell 14-10 to the Jaguars. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Eric Wright had a dynamite game For South East., rushing for 101 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Wright was even better on defense, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Legacy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for South East, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Coming up, Legacy will face off against Huntington Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South East, they will host South Gate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' defense better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 35.6 points per game this season.
