Baseball Recap: West Potomac Find Success

While West Potomac's victory against Robinson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Rams 3-1. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bennett Winkelfoos tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, West Potomac's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Banks Holman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Holman has become a key player for the Wolverines: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-11 otherwise.

West Potomac's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Robinson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

As of now, neither West Potomac nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
