Soccer Game Preview: V.R. Eaton vs. Northwest

V.R. Eaton hasn't had much luck against Northwest recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will host the Texans at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

V.R. Eaton managed to keep up with Keller until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Indians. While losing is never fun, V.R. Eaton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Keller are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Northwest hasn't lost a match since January 30th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Neither they nor Keller could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Northwest's draw gives them a new season record of 7-5-4. As for V.R. Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

V.R. Eaton was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwest in their previous meeting back in January, winning 2-0. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Texans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
