Basketball Game Preview: Show Low Cougars vs. Coconino Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Show Low Cougars face off against the Coconino Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday... The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Show Low has four straight victories, Coconino has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Show Low is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Thatcher 64-25. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-8.

It was another big night for Raquel Wilson, who went 6 of 10from beyond the arc en route to 24 points along with seven assists and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Show Low's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Moore, who posted eight points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Coconino was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 36-32 to Deer Valley.

Show Low now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Coconino, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
