Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jacksonville Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Coosa Christian Conquerors with a sharp 17-5 victory on Thursday. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Coosa Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Jacksonville Christian Academy and Coosa Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Jacksonville Christian Academy will challenge Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday down 239 places (364 vs. 125). Meanwhile, Coosa Christian (ranked 344th) will meet Fort Payne (ranked 150th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
