Basketball Recap: Kokomo Homeschool Snags 14th Victory in Last 18 Games

Kokomo HomeSchool won the last time they faced Northside L and things went their way on Friday too. The Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles strolled past the Northside L Lions with points to spare, taking the game 79-60. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Lions are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kokomo HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David Hart out in front who went 6-for-7 to rack up 17 points in addition to eight assists and three blocks. What's more, Hart also posted an 86% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2023. Drew Beery was another key player, going 8-for-13 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points.

Hart wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Kokomo HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Northside L's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of WILL SLAGLE, who posted 13 points, and ISAAC ADCOCK, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JEFFREY WHEELER, who earned nine points.

Kokomo HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season. Northside L's record is now 18-18-1.

Kokomo HomeSchool has already played their next game (against Bluegrass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northside L, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 69-57 win against Columbus HomeSchool on the 22nd.
