Baseball Recap: McArthur Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for McArthur's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Piper Bengals on Thursday. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it nine in a row.

McArthur saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carmelo Santos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

McArthur's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Piper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

McArthur will take on Boyd Anderson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. McArthur has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Piper, they will face off against Hollywood Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Piper is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
