It was a good run, but Hancock unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 4-1 to the Picayune Maroon Tide. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroon Tide earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Hancock saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Arcement, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Picayune, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hancock will take on rival George County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Rebels a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, Picayune is set to square off against their familiar foe Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
