Baseball Recap: Buhach Colony Comes Up Short

Buhach Colony extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 8-18-1 in the process. They fell 6-1 to the Atwater Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday.

Wesson Espinoza was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.

As for Atwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.

On Atwater's side, their victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Vincent Valladao, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither Buhach Colony nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
