Basketball Game Preview: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Ravenwood Raptors

The Chiles Timberwolves and the Ravenwood Raptors will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Chiles' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Ravenwood has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Chiles saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Munroe. The game marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Chiles had strong showings from Omar Ezzagaghi, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals, and Carson Ginn, who had 11 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Harvard, who put up two points.

Meanwhile, Ravenwood came up short against Beech on Saturday and fell 72-60. While losing is never fun, the Raptors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 98th).

Ravenwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chiles, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
