Softball Recap: Terra Nova Takes a Loss

Terra Nova lost against Menlo-Atherton back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Terra Nova took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Menlo-Atherton. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caitlyn Lobo and Gigi Pelleriti did some serious damage despite the final result: Lobo scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Pelleriti scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Lobo is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Terra Nova now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Menlo-Atherton, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Terra Nova will challenge Carlmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menlo-Atherton, they will face off against Lynbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
