Basketball Game Preview: River Valley Panthers vs. West Shamokin Wolves + How To Watch

River Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Shamokin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will challenge the Wolves at 7:15 p.m. West Shamokin took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on River Valley, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when River Valley challenged United on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 67-43 margin over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

River Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddie Twinchek, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Those 20 points gave Twinchek a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenady Kitner, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 16 points and three steals.

River Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as United only racked up eight.

Meanwhile, West Shamokin came up short against Cambria Heights on Friday and fell 56-48. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

River Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Shamokin, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for River Valley against West Shamokin in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 60-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
