Baseball Game Preview: Honeoye Bulldogs vs. Harley Allendale Columbia Wolves

The Honeoye Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Harley Allendale Columbia Wolves at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Honeoye has four straight wins, Harley Allendale Columbia has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Honeoye got the win against Bradford Central by a conclusive 12-2. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Harley Allendale Columbia's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-0 to Naples, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Harley Allendale Columbia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Beauchamp, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Honeoye pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Harley Allendale Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Honeoye was able to grind out a solid victory over Harley Allendale Columbia in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
