Irvine can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Laguna Beach Breakers by a score of 3-1.

Irvine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.

Irvine's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Laguna Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Irvine and Laguna Beach could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Irvine (ranked 362nd) will meet St. Margaret's (ranked 55th) at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Irvine is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, Laguna Beach will challenge Northwood at 5:15 p.m. on Friday down 169 places (316 vs. 147).
